The Undeclared/Exploratory Studies in Agriculture program is designed to help students explore various agriculture, food, and environment disciplines in the college before committing to a specific major. Students enrolled in this program receive personalized academic advising to identify interests, strengths, and career goals. After completing foundational courses and exploring their interests, students transition to a specific major.

This exploratory program offers many benefits including the flexibility to take introductory courses in different fields, the opportunity to develop a strong foundation in agriculture- related subjects, and access to outstanding resources designed to support students in their decision-making process. This program emphasizes hands-on learning, career exploration, and personal development, preparing students to transition confidently into a specific major that aligns with their professional goals.

Accelerate Your Career Into Graduate School

For highly motivated students, the opportunity exists to integrate up to 12 credit hours of undergraduate and graduate coursework through the Accelerated Master’s Pathways or AMP program. Students will save time and money by receiving dual credit for select courses taken during their senior year of undergraduate studies. Those interested in pursuing this path to a graduate degree should consult with their academic advisor.

Our college believes in learning by doing. Our students are required to complete at least one type of experiential or hands-on learning opportunity, such as undergraduate research, an internship or an education abroad experience.

Scholarships

Thanks to generous alumni, donors and community partners, we have one of the largest scholarship programs at UK. Only one application is required for our college’s scholarships, but there are hundreds of potential awards.
