Heather MacKenzie

Equine Science and Management | Centerville, Ohio

After a 31-year journey, Heather MacKenzie obtained her degree from UK in spring 2024.

MacKenzie has nurtured a deep connection to the equine world since early childhood. Global disruptions caused by COVID-19 led her to reflect on her life and make significant changes, returning to her passion for horses.

"Now I'm fully engaged, working in the Ag Equine Programs office and seizing every opportunity that comes my way,” MacKenzie said.

Since graduating, MacKenzie is continuing to work for the University of Kentucky Ag Equine Programs and is pursuing her master’s degree in community and leadership development.
