Today's dynamic work environment makes a resilient mindset a necessity! This 90-minute workshop focuses on cultivating workplace resiliency in a manner that supports the worker and their teams. Participants will 1) define resilience and its role in workplace well-being; 2) explore personal areas of strength and growth opportunities; 3) discuss practical strategies to build a resilient mindset in daily work life, and 4) learn how to support a culture of support and safety for all. Active participation is encouraged, and time will be allotted for questions and strategy sharing!

About the Speaker

Mark MainsMark Mains, PhD, Extension Director for Workforce and Engagement, Blueprint Kentucky

Dr. Mark Mains is a Director of Workforce and Engagement with the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service in the Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment, as part of Blueprint Kentucky (formerly CEDIK). Dr. Mains works with Extension communities, faculty and staff to support individuals’ success in the workforce. Dr. Mains works closely with the college’s Office of Access, Community and Engagement to create a sense of community for all faculty, staff, students and clientele. Dr. Mains is the National Lead for Content & Credentialing with AgriProspects, a National Institute of Food and Agriculture funded grant program that supports adult workforce development in agriculture. In this role he provides team leadership for documenting and promoting Extension educational curricula and identifying additional workforce in this area.
