One Health Symposium 2025

Save the date for the second annual UK One Health Initiative Symposium on October 20, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This event will be held in person at the Gluck Equine Research Center Auditorium and via Zoom. A Zoom link will be provided to those who register.

This year's keynote speakers are: 

• Laura Kahn, MPH, MD, co-founder of the One Health Initiative; professor emeritus, Princeton University
• Sid Thakur, DVM, PhD, executive director, Global One Health Academy, NC State University
• Scott Commins, MD, PhD, associate professor of medicine, University of North Carolina
• Yoonseong Park, MS, PhD, professor of entomology, Kansas State University

Invited speakers are:

• Feng Li, DVM, PhD, chair, equine infectious diseases, Gluck Equine Research Center, University of Kentucky
• Wayne Sanderson, MS, PhD, professor and director of CARERC and SCAHIP, University of Kentucky
• Jessie Lay, DVM, extension animal health veterinarian, Cooperative Extension Service, University of Kentucky
• Jennifer Way, DVM, MPH, DACVPM, veterinary coordinator, USDA
• Cheryl Witt, PhD, RN, associate professor and assistant dean for undergraduate programs, agriculture extension specialist, University of Kentucky
