October 20, 2025
6:00pm - 7:30pm
The Arboretum
Come join us for the evening as we explore how to build a pollinator, and specifically a bee-friendly, home landscape. Dr. Dan Potter (Professor Emeritus, UK Entomology) will give a talk and lead a discussion on the importance of bees, why both honey bees and native bee populations are in peril, and how you can help by creating a pollinator sanctuary in your own yard. You will learn the best trees and shrubs for supporting bees, as well as some tips for pollinator friendly lawn and tree care. We hope you will join us.
This event is free, but registration is appreciated and space is limited. To sign up, email us at arboretum@uky.edu or call us at 859-257-6955.
This event is part of our Community Naturalist Seminars.
