Professional Profile

I am a PPS credentialed graduate from California Baptist University. In the Fall of 2022 I transitioned from K-12 public education to higher education, and began a new role as the Director of Academic Success at Georgetown College. After a short time at GC, I was offered the opportunity to join the Academic Advising team in the Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food & Environment at the University of Kentucky. I currently serve four different programs: Agricultural Education & Advocacy, Community & Leadership Development, Human Development & Family Science, and Family Financial Counseling.

I strive to be a strong, dependable support system and advocate for my students. I understand that communicating with families, institutional personnel, and community stakeholders is an integral aspect of my role, and is one of the driving forces behind my success as a Educator. Partnered with that skill is my ability to make real and purposeful connections with students, which offers me opportunities to work with them so that their needs for success are met on a daily basis. I take pride in my level of reliability and responsibility, which I know are valuable characteristics in my field.
