Jamie Dunn is a seasoned higher education administrator with more than twenty years of experience advancing academic affairs, student success, and institutional leadership at the University of Kentucky. Her career reflects a deep commitment to student development and retention, as well as a proven ability to navigate complex academic policies and create systems that foster equitable, student-centered learning environments.
Currently serving as Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs in the Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment, Jamie provides strategic support in curriculum development, academic policy interpretation, and student records management. She oversees processes that ensure compliance with institutional standards, NCAA regulations, and FERPA guidelines, while also supporting faculty and staff through the implementation of innovative advising technologies and academic reporting tools.
Over the course of her career, Jamie has directed student advising and support services, led retention initiatives, and guided professional staff development—building collaborative teams dedicated to student achievement. She has also contributed to the academic mission of the university through teaching, mentoring, and service on key committees, strengthening the culture of academic excellence across the institution.
Her leadership and dedication have been recognized with numerous awards, including the M-G CAFE Outstanding Staff Award, finalist honors for the Ken Freedman Outstanding Advisor Award, and multiple nominations for excellence in advising and student support. Jamie holds advanced degrees in Adult & Higher Education and Career, Technical & Leadership Education.
