In the MSRTM degree program, you’ll develop the strategic, analytical, and creative expertise needed to lead in the dynamic fields of retail, hospitality, and tourism. Through advanced coursework, applied research, and experiential learning, you’ll explore the intersection of commerce, culture, and design, gaining practical tools to navigate and influence the evolving retail and tourism landscape.
Choose a path that aligns with your goals: a research- oriented thesis option (Plan A) or a coursework and practice focused non-thesis option (Plan B). Both options require 30 credit hours, with Plan A students eligible to count six credit hours of research residency towards that total. Applicants typically hold a bachelor’s degree in hospitality, tourism, management, merchandising, textiles, retailing, marketing, or a related field.
As an MSRTM student, you’ll collaborate with faculty experts, engage in interdisciplinary projects, and connect with industry leaders across retail and tourism sectors. You’ll be prepared for a wide range of careers in brand management, consumer experience design, tourism development, or to continue your academic journey towards a Ph.D. or other advanced degrees.
