To complete the Play Therapy graduate certificate, students must complete 12 credit hours. All certificate students must take FAM 658, FAM 686, FAM 745 and one approved three credit elective course. The Play Therapy graduate certificate is designed to partially meet the requirements to becoming play therapist.

FAM 658 Adolescent Development

The course is designed to familiarize you with key scholarship on adolescent development and behaviors drawing on different disciplines, including human development and family studies/science, educational sciences, psychology, public health, and sociology, all of which have greatly contributed to the distinct field of research on adolescents over the past few decades. (3 credits) Prereq: None

FAM 686 Theory and Methods in Couple and Family Therapy
A survey of theories and methods used in couple and family therapy.
